Inspiring Me with The Happy Planner

My Happy Planner

Calendars have always been my best friend. You know, the kind with 30 plus boxes that I would scribble doctor appointments, meetings, birthdates, and date nights in. Those boring, plain pages of my year have worked ok for my entire adult life. My 2019 is going to be different. I got a HAPPY PLANNER to log those usual important dates AND to help me manage this thing called life. This montage of months is inspiring me to add my dreams and goals too. (Check out my post on ‘Goal Jeans‘. My planner helps keeps me on track with my weight loss journey too!)

I am just learning about all of the themes, stickers and pretties that everyone adds to this diary of a planner. I’m excited to add my own touch to this montage and see what it becomes in 365 days!

Inspiring Me with Pinterest Ideas for Planning

To help me get started, I turned to Pinterest. I created my own Happy Planner Board and started pinning to my hearts content. @crazybusyhappylife has an excellent post 10 Tips For Using A Planner For Maximum Productivity. I found some interesting ideas from her post that I am planning on implementing into my new calendar. On my Pinterest board, I have added informational post after inspirational post of how to organize your planner. These are amazing guides to organizing your Happy Planner for sure!

@eslamoda.com has some darling ideas to add to your planner. Check these out here.

Inspiring Me with Social Media Ideas for Planning

I joined a Happy Planner group on Facebook as well. I like to get ideas on this more personal level. It allows me to ask questions and make friends. Search Groups on Facebook and type in Happy Planner. There are tons of Ideas on Instagram too. Search for Happy Planner or check some #hashtags about calendars or planners and you can find literally hundreds of people to follow showing you their planners and how they personalize them.

What To Put In Your Planner

Here is a list of ideas to keep in your planner. You can add to the calendar, but also make a page just for these types of things. And decorate it up to your hearts content!

  • Wedding – appointments, venues, events, contacts
  • Mood Tracker
  • Appointments
  • Special Dates – Birthdays, anniversaries

Online & Instore Supplies

Online and Instore ideas are everywhere. There are several local stores that have Happy Planner items and their own brand of calendar cuties as well. Hobby Lobby and Michael’s are great places to shop for pens, markers, washi tape, stickers, and stamps. Remember to shop the sales ads, or use your store coupon to get 40% off your supplies. Amazon has an amazing selection as well. What a great way to have everything sent right to your front door.

UPDATE: I have added birthdays and anniversaries to my calendar. I found some cute stickers that match my color scheme too. It is very relaxing, almost like coloring. Now it is so cute that I am having a hard time adding everyday, miscellaneous appointments to my planner. I’m afraid that it will take the darlingness away!! ~ Susie Pea
